Tha Carter V, the highly anticipated and, quite frankly, long overdue album from Lil Wayne could be here sooner rather than later.
Weezy F. Baby hinted at the upcoming album while at a tour stop in Dallas, Texas over the weekend, telling the crowd Tha Carter V was “coming soon.” The Louisiana rapper continued his, ah, strongly-opposed point of view of Birdman, to say it lightly by saying “F--k Cash Money. It’s the Roc.”
If we mere mortals are lucky, perhaps the best rapper alive will team up with the head honcho of Roc Nation. Lil Wayne had previously talked about his friendship with Hov but there has been no mention of teaming up, album or label wise.
In addition to CV, Tunechi plans on working on three other projects, including Velvet, Funeral and Dedication 6. And all this is coming amongst a lengthy legal battle with his former “father.”
Despite the strange hip-hop family tree from which he stems, Lil Wayne continues to slay while keeping us all waiting anxiously in the shade of his next major move.
