Cyclops Baby Goat May Steal Your Heart

Some may look at this goat and think it is a part of a science fiction movie! The locals in Assam, India actually look at the creature as a blessing!

The one-eyed, one-ear goat was born on May 10th and has been receiving a lot of attention within the area.

According to the Huffington Post, due to a condition called cyclopean the animal was born “with only one eye, one ear and barely a nose.” The condition is caused in the womb where the animals’ “brain’s two hemisphere do not separate” says Huffington Post.

Sadly, the mortality rate of creatures living with this mutation is high. Most pass away within hours of being born, however, this goat is a miracle! The farm where the animal was born is pleased with the goat’s appearance. The goat’s owner, Mukhuri Das, told Bancroft TV that he “was shocked. It’s like a miracle and people have been coming to out place to see this baby goat. It might be something from God that the baby goat was born in our house.”

On top of having a missing eye and ear, the baby goat also is missing some teeth. Adorably, the animal will trot around with his tongue sticking out of the side of his jaw. Not to mention, he does have a shorter than normal upper jaw, which does not help out with the mouth situation! Regardless, the animal is mighty adorable and looks as though it could be a part of the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts.

Watch out Mukhuri, your goat may just become Instagram famous.
